A Mother’s Tribute: The Story of Martyr Hamid Abdollahi
In a poignant meeting between the people of East Azerbaijan and the Supreme Leader, a mother shared her heartfelt memories of her son, Hamid Abdollahi, a 39-year-old soldier who fell during the twelve-day war. Upon entering the gathering, I searched for those holding photographs of martyrs, but none were present as they had been taken earlier.
My gaze fell upon a mother seated in the front rows. I approached her and, in Turkish, asked, "Did you come from Tabriz? Welcome." Her face lit up with joy, and our conversation flourished in the rich Tabrizi dialect. She was the mother of Hamid Abdollahi, a dedicated soldier who sacrificed his life for his beliefs.
I prompted her to share stories about her son. She spoke of Hamid with pride, saying, "He was a remarkable boy. I offered him in the path of Imam Hussein and our leader." She recounted a vivid dream that had come true: "When General Soleimani was martyred, I had a strange dream. I saw my son Hamid lying in his uniform with his hand under his head, and I thought he was asleep. As I approached, I was told he had become a martyr. I shared this dream with Hamid, and he said, 'Mother, your dreams always come true. Pray that I become a martyr.' He achieved that on the very first day of the war alongside his comrades."
Tears welled in the mother's eyes as the crowd erupted in unison, chanting, "We are ready to serve, Khamenei is our soldier."This heartfelt narrative shared by the mother of martyr Hamid Abdollahi encapsulates the profound sacrifices made by families during times of conflict. Her story not only honors her son’s legacy but also resonates with the collective memory of a nation that holds its martyrs in high esteem.
