Ismail Baqai, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, vehemently condemned the recent assaults by the Israeli regime on Lebanon, particularly targeting the Bekaa region and the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh in Sidon. These attacks resulted in the deaths and injuries of over 40 Lebanese and Palestinian citizens.The spokesperson highlighted the ongoing blatant violations of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as the November 2024 ceasefire agreement. He pointed out the direct responsibility of the ceasefire guarantors the United States and France for the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli regime. Furthermore he emphasized the urgent need for the United Nations and its Security Council to fulfill their legal responsibilities to halt the military aggressions of the Israeli regime.
