According to reports from the International News Agency Tasnim, a collaborative meeting of activists and NGOs supporting the Palestinian cause was held under the title ‘Palestine: A Symbol of Resistance and Global Unity,’ hosted by the Palestine Defense Society.
Hojjatoleslam Rahimian, Secretary-General of the Palestine Defense Society, commemorated the legacy of Imam Khomeini and outlined his efforts to elevate the Palestinian issue. He stated that in his first historic speech, which led to his arrest, Imam Khomeini focused on exposing the crimes of Israel and the ties between the Pahlavi regime and the Zionist regime.
He further noted that following the Islamic Revolution’s victory, Imam Khomeini introduced the concept of Quds Day during the first Ramadan of 1979, declaring it a day of Islam. This profound perspective illustrates that for Imam Khomeini, Quds Day transcends ethnicity and regional boundaries.Rahimian emphasized that the most crucial point Imam Khomeini raised regarding Palestine was the necessity for Israel to be erased from the pages of history. He remarked that the nature of the Zionist regime was not as clearly defined in those years as it is today, allowing us to delve deeper into Imam Khomeini’s strategic vision.
During the meeting, he urged media activists to focus on two key areas. The first was to ensure that this year’s Quds Day, supported by the Iranian people, stands out from previous years. The second request highlighted the recent events in the country, indicating that parts of society and some members of the younger generation have been influenced by media aligned with the enemy, which underscores the importance of the ‘Jihad of Explanation’ by media activists.In the concluding remarks, the Secretary-General stated that Iran and the Zionist regime represent two opposing forces, one of which must be eliminated. He asserted that since what is doomed is the falsehood and what prevails is the truth, victory will undoubtedly belong to Iran, with Palestine symbolizing our ultimate victory over falsehood in the end times.
Nasser Abu Sharif, a representative of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, expressed that despite the legendary resistance of the Palestinian people, Jerusalem faces challenging circumstances today.
Abu Sharif, speaking at the gathering of activists and NGOs supporting Palestine, reiterated that while the Palestinian people continue their remarkable stand and resistance, this steadfastness requires comprehensive support from the Islamic Ummah.He referenced the Global Quds Day march, held on the last Friday of Ramadan each year, stating that this year’s Global Quds Day represents a reaffirmation of commitment to Jerusalem and a correction of our compass towards Palestine.
The representative of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Iran described Imam Khomeini’s designation of the last Friday of Ramadan as Global Quds Day as a significant action aimed at uniting Muslims for the liberation of Palestine.
He pointed out the current conditions of Islamic and Arab nations due to capitulating rulers following the U.S. agenda, lamenting that Muslims remain divided and must urgently resolve their differences to unite as one.Abu Sharif stressed the necessity of countering the American-Zionist narrative regarding Palestine and emphasized the need for Muslim awareness vigilance and responsibility against conspiracies targeting the foremost issue of the Islamic Ummah.
General Ramadan Sharif also participated in the meeting of activists and NGOs supporting the Palestinian cause warning that if Americans commit a folly against Iran they will face the greatest blow in history with their malice resulting only in humiliation and disgrace.
Ramadan Sharif asserted that the fate of American forces in the region will mirror that of the generals of Saddam the commanders of ISIS and mercenary groups like the Mojahedin Komala and Jish al-Dhulm.
