According to international news agency Tasnim, despite more than four months since the ceasefire agreement was implemented in Gaza, the Israeli regime continues to violate this agreement on multiple levels. The Gaza Human Rights Center has reported that since the ceasefire began in October 2025, a staggering 642 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed in Israeli attacks.

This translates to an alarming average of five deaths per day, with half of the victims being children, women, or the elderly. During this period, the casualties include 197 children, five women, and 22 elderly individuals, while the number of injuries has reached 1,643, comprising 504 children, 330 women, and 89 elderly individuals. The center further explained that data indicates the Israeli regime has committed an average of 14 ceasefire violations daily since the agreement began, establishing a consistent pattern that effectively renders the ceasefire meaningless. This reality suggests that the ceasefire serves as a cover for the ongoing aggressions by the Israelis.

The statement continued, highlighting that these figures demonstrate a systematic targeting of vulnerable groups protected under international humanitarian law, particularly children and women, representing a blatant violation of the Geneva Conventions that necessitates international accountability. The Gaza Human Rights Center emphasized that the ceasefire violations by the Israelis are not limited to daily killings and bombings. They also include the ongoing blockade and the obstruction of adequate humanitarian aid to Gaza. Currently, the Israelis have permitted only 43% of the humanitarian aid trucks into Gaza, and the fuel entering the region has not exceeded 15% of the agreed amount.

The persistent heavy blockade imposed by the occupying regime has paralyzed essential services and hindered infrastructure repairs. Furthermore, the mechanisms for reopening the Rafah crossing do not align with the ceasefire agreement, and the travelers who managed to cross represent only 40% of the agreed figure. The Gaza Human Rights Center’s report indicates that all these indicators reveal Israel’s continued commission of genocidal actions against the residents of Gaza, ranging from direct killings and targeting civilians to the destruction of livelihoods and deprivation of basic survival needs.

The center warned that these crimes by the Israeli regime are occurring amidst a suspicious international silence, a silence that reinforces a climate of impunity and sends the wrong message: that atrocities can continue without accountability. The center expressed growing concern over the lack of effective positioning or clear intervention from the entities established to govern Gaza during the transitional phase, including the Peace Council, the Executive Council, and the National Authority for Gaza’s administration. This silence from these institutions exacerbates the void and leaves civilians in Gaza without genuine support and without holding the perpetrators of these crimes accountable. The Gaza Human Rights Center urged the international community and the guarantors of the Gaza ceasefire to take immediate action to stop the violations of this agreement by the Israeli regime ensure respect for international humanitarian laws and initiate independent international investigations to hold the Israeli criminals accountable before international courts.
