According to an international news report, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Palestinian Territories, has repeatedly presented substantial evidence of genocidal acts committed by the Israeli regime. Due to her efforts, she faces U.S. sanctions and threats from Zionist entities. In her recent remarks, she emphasized that many Western governments are failing to prevent ongoing violations of Palestinian rights by Israel.

Albanese stressed the urgent need to cease the arming of Israel; otherwise, the regime will persist in its violations against Palestinians. She highlighted that the perpetrators of these crimes have enjoyed impunity for decades. The accusation of anti-Semitism is often misused, particularly in Europe, to exploit sentiments against Jews. The UN Special Rapporteur clarified that animosity towards Israel is not rooted in anti-Semitism but stems from the actions taken by the regime. Today, Palestinians are enduring some of the most challenging moments in their history, and it is regrettable that we only hear condemnatory statements devoid of any actionable steps to halt Israel’s violence against them.

Albanese further noted that ethnic cleansing aims to remove Palestinians from their land, a long-term objective for those wishing to establish a solely Jewish presence in Palestine. She pointed out that the Israeli cabinet, according to some ministers, presents Palestinians with two options: either leave Palestine or remain under oppression, both of which Palestinians reject. The UN Special Rapporteur emphasized that member states of the United Nations are capitulating to American and Israeli bullying. She urged an end to unilateralism and called for a halt to the colonial approach in dealing with Palestinians. Albanese expressed her disappointment over the world’s inaction in the face of Israeli atrocities, noting that repeated statements of condemnation do not translate into effective measures to stop the violence against Palestinians.

She also remarked that Israel has been an inseparable part of U.S. policy in the Middle East, and what happens to Palestinians is a direct reflection of this role. In fact, the U.S. assists Israel in its efforts to rid itself of Palestinians, starting with Gaza. Thus, we must be wary of the dangers posed by the current situation and the potential escalation of the Gaza crisis in the future.Albanese described the events occurring in Gaza as a genuine genocide and lamented that the world has become accustomed to this atrocity. Ordinary people across various nations oppose this genocide and strive to combat it yet governments either fear confrontation with the U.S. and Israel or collude with them.
