According to a report from the Hebrew news agency Tasnim, the U.S. government has agreed to withdraw its non-essential employees from Israel and has imposed restrictions on their movements within the region.
The Hebrew media outlet Ynet reported that the State Department updated its guidance today, allowing the exit of non-essential staff and their families from its mission in Israel.This decision comes on the heels of recent negotiations with Iran. An American official described the discussions held last night in Geneva as positive noting that certain details have become clearer compared to previous rounds of talks. The plan is to conduct another round of negotiations on Monday in Vienna at the expert level which will proceed without the presence of Steve Biegun Jared Kushner or Abbas Araghchi.
