According to an international news report, the U.S. State Department confirmed on Friday evening that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will embark on a brief visit to the occupied Palestinian territories early next week.
This visit, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, aims to address a range of regional priorities, including Iran, Lebanon, and ongoing efforts to implement Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza.Additionally U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance is set to meet on Friday in Washington with Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi who has played a mediating role in these discussions. This information was provided by a source familiar with the meeting who requested anonymity due to the private nature of the session.
Previously al-Busaidi indicated that significant progress had been made on Thursday although officials from both Iran and the U.S. have yet to specify concrete steps forward.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also commented on Thursday stating that what needs to be done is clearly outlined from their side.
