The series portrays some of the Israeli violations against the Gaza Strip, which has not sat well with Israeli officials.The Israeli Broadcasting Authority produced a detailed report on the series, emphasizing that the depiction of the Gaza conflict presents Israel in an unfavorable light and is one-sided. Furthermore, Channel 12 of the Israeli television network harshly criticized the series, claiming that Egypt aims to improve its image and that the show is merely a political maneuver.Prior to the series’ airing, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper expressed concerns about its content. The publication noted that the series could negatively impact public opinion, particularly regarding the treatment of children in Gaza and how the Israeli military interacts with them, potentially reaching millions of viewers.The series has also been translated into English. ‘Sahab Al-Ard’ addresses the humanitarian crisis faced by Gaza residents following Israeli attacks featuring Iyad Nassar as a Palestinian father and Menna Shalaby as an Egyptian doctor.
