Reports from international news sources indicate a significant escalation in detentions by Israeli forces, coinciding with the commencement of Ramadan. The Palestinian Prisoners Club has revealed that these arrests have targeted women, children, and former detainees, with settler attacks providing a pretext for broadening the scope of these operations. The arrests have been widespread across various provinces in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and have involved severe beatings, organized acts of ‘terrorism’ against detainees and their families, alongside extensive property destruction. This includes the demolition of homes and the seizure of vehicles, cash, and jewelry. On Sunday morning, Israeli forces apprehended eight Palestinians, including three children, during a raid in the towns of Qalqilya and Azzun. Sources confirm that troops invaded Azzun, targeting the home of Ahmad Rashad Salim and violently detaining his three sons: Yahya, Yaqub, and Rashad, before releasing him while keeping the children in custody.Since the beginning of Ramadan Israeli forces have intensified their security measures at military checkpoints establishing approximately 1000 fixed and mobile checkpoints effectively sealing off the West Bank.
