Lebanese Director’s Support for Children at Berlin Film Festival
On Saturday Lebanese director Marie Rose Asta received the prestigious ‘Golden Bear’ award at the Berlin International Film Festival for her short film ‘One Child a Day.’ This poignant film tells the story of a child endowed with supernatural powers to halt Israeli fighter jets in their tracks.
During her acceptance speech Asta condemned the assaults by the occupying regime on Gaza and southern Lebanon. She emphasized that the lives of Lebanese and Palestinian children are not negotiable or subject to compromise.
