New Poll Reveals 57% of Americans Support Independent Statehood
A recent survey conducted in the United States indicates that 57% of citizens support the establishment of an independent state. This significant finding emerges from the latest research by the American polling firm Gallup which highlights a notable shift in American attitudes towards Israel compared to previous years.
According to the report 65% of Democrats express empathy towards the plight of Palestinians while only 17% show sympathy for Israel. However there has been no substantial change in the views of this group over time.
Among Republicans a striking 70% report greater empathy towards the Israeli regime in contrast to 13% who support Palestinian causes. Nevertheless empathy for Israel among Republicans has decreased by 10% since 2024 marking its lowest level since 2004.
Independents have emerged as the primary factor driving this year’s results. Data reveals that 41% of independent voters express empathy towards Palestinians while 30% show support for Israel. In previous years 42% of independents favored the Israeli regime with 34% supporting Palestinians.
These survey results reflect a gradual transformation in American public opinion regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a shift that could significantly influence the political landscape and foreign policy of the United States in the future.
