Recent Developments in the West Bank: Escalating Violence and Military Actions
In recent hours, the West Bank has witnessed extensive incursions by Israeli forces and attacks from settlers in various regions.
In Jerusalem, Israeli soldiers halted vehicles near the Al-Mutala Hospital in the Al-Tur area, conducting identity checks on the occupants. Following the Taraweeh prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, several young individuals in the Old City of Jerusalem faced inspections and confrontations. Concurrently, the settlement of Anata in northeast Jerusalem also experienced a raid.
In northern West Bank, Israeli occupiers invaded the village of Raba, southeast of Jenin, employing sound bombs during their operation. Multiple areas in Nablus province, including Qasra, Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, Telfit, and Tal, reported military assaults, home inspections, and the deployment of military equipment. In Telfit, settlers fired upon residential homes.In Ramallah the town of Sinjil was targeted with several residential properties being inspected. Similar operations have also been reported in Tubas and Aqaba in northern West Bank.
In the southern West Bank the Safa area in Beit Ummar north of Hebron experienced an incursion by Israeli soldiers. Simultaneously in the village of Susya in Masafer Yatta settlers attacked homes and vehicles setting fire to citizens’ properties resulting in injuries and material damage.
