Over 82,000 Israeli Soldiers Undergoing Treatment Amid Ongoing Conflict

Recent reports from Channel 12, a media outlet in Israel, reveal alarming statistics regarding the number of injured soldiers from the ongoing conflict. Currently, there are approximately 82,400 military personnel receiving treatment, with a significant 58% suffering from psychological trauma.

The data indicates that 63% of these injured individuals are reserve forces, and nearly half, or 49%, are under the age of 30. Among the wounded, 1,016 individuals are grappling with severe psychological disorders, including conditions related to post-traumatic stress.

Additionally, 115 soldiers face the risk of blindness, while 612 have been classified with the highest degree of disability. The situation is further compounded by the fact that 873 individuals require the use of wheelchairs, and around 31,000 are experiencing various psychological disturbances.According to Idan Kleiman the head of the organization for injured and disabled soldiers these figures serve as a serious warning regarding the increasing pressure on the military’s healthcare and rehabilitation systems. This situation highlights the urgent need for enhanced support and resources to address the escalating challenges faced by the armed forces.
