Arab League Condemns Arson Attack on Mosque in West Bank
The Arab League has issued a strong condemnation regarding the recent arson incident involving a mosque in the West Bank. In a statement released on Tuesday, the organization expressed its outrage over the actions of settlers who set fire to the Abu Bakr Siddiq Mosque located in the village of Tal, within the Nablus Governorate in northern West Bank.
The statement highlighted that the burning of the mosque represents a serious violation targeting places of worship, constituting a blatant breach of international humanitarian laws and human rights principles. The Arab nations reaffirmed their stance against such acts of aggression, emphasizing the need for accountability and respect for sacred sites.Reports indicate that a group of Israeli settlers attacked the village of Tal on Monday igniting the entrance of the Abu Bakr Siddiq Mosque. In addition to the arson the assailants reportedly scrawled racist slogans on the walls of the mosque. Fortunately attempts to completely destroy the mosque were thwarted and damage was confined to the entrance area of the building.
