Resumption of Taraweeh Prayers at Gaza’s Largest Mosque After Two-Year Hiatus

After a two-year interruption Taraweeh prayers have resumed in the Gaza Strip taking place at the largest mosque in the region. The ceremony was held at the Al-Kanz Mosque which suffered partial damage during military operations by the Israeli regime.

Despite the mosque being affected by previous military actions with parts still in need of reconstruction a significant number of worshippers gathered to form lines for the Taraweeh prayers once again. The revival of this religious practice comes at a time when many religious and public infrastructures in Gaza have been damaged as a result of ongoing conflicts.

Nevertheless Taraweeh prayers are being conducted across the Gaza Strip even on the ruins of destroyed mosques showcasing the resilience and determination of the community to uphold their spiritual traditions.
