Ismail Baqai, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly denounced the Israeli airstrikes targeting Lebanon, particularly in the Bekaa region, which resulted in casualties and damage to Lebanon’s infrastructure.
He called for urgent measures from the United Nations Security Council to uphold its responsibilities in preserving global peace and security.The spokesperson highlighted the ongoing violations of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity describing the Security Council’s silence and inaction regarding the breaches and crimes committed by the Israeli regime as catastrophic.
He emphasized the direct responsibility of the United States and France as guarantors of the ceasefire in perpetuating this troubling situation.
