According to Mehr News Agency, Ismail Baqai, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, vehemently condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, particularly in the Beqaa region, which resulted in casualties and damage to the infrastructure of Lebanon.
He called for urgent action from the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security.The spokesperson highlighted the ongoing violation of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He described the continued silence and inaction of the United Nations Security Council regarding the lawlessness and atrocities committed by the Israeli regime as catastrophic.
Furthermore he emphasized the direct responsibility of the United States and France as guarantors of the ceasefire in perpetuating this situation.
