According to a report from Mehr News Agency, Amin Porhussein, the Director of the Foreign Media Center at the Office for the Preservation and Publication of the Leader’s Works, spoke at the second meeting of the Central Committee for Quds Day, held on Tuesday, March 4, at the Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council. He highlighted the significance of Quds Day, which was initiated by the Islamic Republic and has now evolved into a global movement; thus, we must leverage this capacity effectively in the current circumstances.

He noted that the overwhelming volume of news and images depicting the suffering of the Palestinian people has led to a degree of normalization in the media landscape. For this year’s Quds Day, it is essential to adopt a creative and ‘familiarity-breaking’ approach to disrupt this normalized narrative and once again draw public attention.Porhussein further elaborated on the proposed focal points discussed in coordination meetings, stating that an excess of topics could dilute the focus and impact of the message. Therefore, he recommended streamlining and consolidating themes to present a unified and coherent message and image for Quds Day.

He also emphasized the ‘Palestinian Referendum’ initiative as a key point highlighted by the Leader of the Revolution, asserting that the idea of resolving the Palestinian issue through the people’s votes can serve as a central content theme for Quds Day. It is crucial to clearly articulate the connection between this initiative and the continuation of resistance to prevent any misinterpretation suggesting a weakening of resistance efforts.Porhussein underscored that focusing on ‘continuing resistance until the realization of the Palestinian referendum’ could be recognized both domestically and internationally as a progressive step in shaping the discourse around the Palestinian issue.
