Concerns Over the Exclusion of Palestine in Gaza Peace Talks

The Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative has expressed significant concern regarding the recent peace conference in Washington chaired by President Donald Trump. He highlighted a troubling trend aimed at separating the fate of Gaza not only from the West Bank but also from the broader Palestinian issue.

During this conference Israel was officially represented despite its Prime Minister facing war crime allegations from the International Criminal Court. In stark contrast Palestine as the central party in the conflict was inadequately represented. Only the head of the National Committee managing Gaza was permitted to speak and even then his remarks were confined to humanitarian and operational matters within the Gaza Strip.
