In a provocative address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, former U.S. President Donald Trump made headlines by highlighting the Iron Dome defense system. He asserted that this technology is an American development, not an Israeli one.
Trump stated, “I told Bibi (Netanyahu) to stop claiming credit for the Iron Dome on behalf of Israel, as it is fundamentally an American innovation.” This bold declaration has triggered a storm of responses across Israeli territories.In light of Trump’s remarks Yedidia Yaari the former CEO of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems the company behind the Iron Dome’s development did not hold back in his criticism. Speaking to Israeli news network i24NEWS he declared “Trump is truly a clown and an absolute fool.”
According to reports Trump’s statements at the World Economic Forum included a series of derogatory and threatening comments directed towards America’s closest allies namely Europe and Canada resulting in widespread negative reactions.
