In a revealing interview published by Maariv, former head of security for Benjamin Netanyahu, Ami Ben-Dor, discusses various ethical scandals involving the Israeli Prime Minister and his family.
Ben-Dor disclosed shocking incidents, including an instance where Netanyahu was physically assaulted by his son, Yair. He also revealed that Sara Netanyahu has a troubling habit of stealing items from places she visits.
Furthermore, Ben-Dor highlighted Netanyahu’s consistent and premeditated behavior of dining at restaurants without paying the bill, a habit known by all his security personnel and aides. This pattern of behavior raises serious ethical concerns about his character.Reflecting on his experience, Ben-Dor stated, “I joined the security unit after the assassination of Rabin and had previously worked with Shimon Peres and Ehud Barak.”
He emphasized that Netanyahu lacks moral integrity, asserting that it would be difficult to find a single member of his security team who disagrees with this assessment. When pressed for clarification, he described a morally deficient person as someone who dines at restaurants but deliberately avoids paying, forcing others to cover the costs. This behavior is a hallmark of Netanyahu’s actions.
Ben-Dor recounted an incident at the King David Hotel, where Netanyahu’s meal was covered by the hotel on his first visit. However, during subsequent visits, he ignored the bill presented to him, leading his aides to pay out of pocket. This pattern of evasion is not just a one-off; it has become a recurring issue. While it might be excusable once or twice, the constant need for aides and others to foot the bill is unacceptable. Ben-Dor stated that although Netanyahu may have political accomplishments, he is fundamentally a morally corrupt individual.
He also accused Sara Netanyahu of being a compulsive thief, claiming that gifts and items, such as towels from hotels, frequently go missing. These items, meant for the state, are taken for personal use. Ben-Dor characterized Sara as a malicious figure, contrasting her with Hillary Clinton, stating that while Netanyahu attempted to mold her public persona, she has since taken control. In a disturbing revelation, Ben-Dor discussed a violent altercation between Yair and his father, where Yair physically assaulted Netanyahu. This incident, which occurred multiple times, prompted security officials to intervene. Yair eventually relocated to Miami, seeking refuge from the turmoil.
Ben-Dor remarked on the challenges Netanyahu faces as Prime Minister while dealing with a volatile son and a wife with troubling behaviors. He described Sara as a humanitarian disaster, afflicted by a compulsion to steal, making it a public secret that gifts and hotel items often vanish. He expressed disbelief at the situation reflecting on how difficult it must be for Netanyahu’s family. Ben-Dor hoped to see Netanyahu behind bars not out of vengeance but for justice. He accused Netanyahu of sabotaging prisoner exchange agreements for political gain resulting in the deaths of nearly 44 prisoners who could have been freed from Gaza.
