According to Mashreq, citing Al-Mayadeen network, Salam emphasized the ongoing pressure on Israel to withdraw from the occupied areas in Lebanon.

The Lebanese Prime Minister underscored the urgent need for material and logistical support for the Lebanese Army to enhance its capabilities in executing the second phase of the arms monopoly plan and expanding government sovereignty as swiftly as possible.In a statement following the Lebanese Cabinet meeting, he praised the efforts of the Lebanese Army in implementing the first phase of the arms monopoly plan across the country.

He stated that facilitating the return of residents to the southern Litani region is the government’s priority once the objectives of the first phase of the arms monopoly are achieved.Salam reiterated that the reconstruction process in the south will gain momentum in the coming weeks contingent upon the Parliament’s approval for a loan from the World Bank.

The Prime Minister added that Lebanon will continue to seek support from Arab nations and the international community to pressure Israel into withdrawing from the five occupied areas in Lebanon halting the regime’s aggressions and ensuring the return of prisoners in a manner that strengthens stability and expands the government’s sovereignty over all Lebanese territories.
