According to Mashregh, the Lebanon Debate news outlet revealed that a resident of Ansar, southern Lebanon, has been detained on suspicions of collaboration with Israeli forces.

About a month ago, the Internal Security Forces’ Information Branch executed a special operation leading to the arrest of a man named Ahmad M. This action followed extensive intelligence monitoring that indicated potential connections between him and entities associated with Israel.The arrest operation was carried out by the Special Forces of the Information Branch. Security personnel stormed the Al-Qubaisi gas station in Ansar while the suspect was inside his vehicle. Over eight military vehicles surrounded the area, completely blocking access and preventing citizens from approaching, which local sources indicated reflected the mission’s sensitivity and importance.

After the arrest, the suspect was handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation. An informed source stated that initial findings suggest he had been directly collaborating with Israeli forces, providing information that contributed to the targeting of certain facilities in the Ansar area over recent months.According to this source, the arrested individual was not merely a minor player; his direct connections with Israeli operatives and the volume of sensitive information he relayed indicated a high level of collaboration.

Investigations have also revealed that he entered occupied Palestinian territories multiple times to meet with his contacts. Furthermore, meetings were held during his travels to Germany and Italy, indicating the use of diverse and unconventional methods for communication and coordination.This individual has been referred to the military court in Lebanon and it is anticipated that formal charges will be announced against him in the coming days.
