According to reports, the Israeli regime continues its aggressive violations of the ceasefire with the tacit approval of the United States and amidst the inaction of the Lebanese government. Late last night, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health confirmed the deaths of four individuals following an airstrike by Israeli forces on a vehicle in the border region between Lebanon and Syria.

Lebanese media outlets reported that the air raid targeted a vehicle in the town of Majdal Anjar, resulting in the fatalities. Additionally, Israeli forces conducted multiple other attacks in southern Lebanon, where they fired machine gun rounds from the Raysa Al-Alam position towards the outskirts of Kafr Shuba, simultaneously launching several grenades. An Israeli military helicopter also dropped a bomb in the outskirts of Markaba, while Israeli soldiers targeted the towns of Blida and Aitaroun with artillery fire. Just yesterday morning, four Israeli soldiers violated the Blue Line in southern Lebanon, briefly entering Lebanese territory before retreating back across the border.

The aggressions continued into Saturday night and early Sunday, with the Israeli military launching airstrikes on the towns of Bseilia, areas between the towns of Houmine Al-Fouqa and Deir Al-Zahrani, and the heights of Jabal Al-Reihan. Local sources and eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli drone, identified as a quadcopter, dropped a bomb into a home in the Kasayr neighborhood near the town of Mays Al-Jabal on Saturday night. These attacks are part of Israel’s ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement. Just three days prior, Israeli forces infiltrated the outskirts of the town of Al-Adisseh, destroying two buildings, and entered the town of Kfar Kila, demolishing one structure. The Israeli military also targeted the outskirts of the town of Yaron, damaging two residential homes.

Reports from international organizations, including Human Rights Watch and the United Nations Human Rights Office, indicate that Israel primarily targets infrastructure in these assaults, aiming to disrupt reconstruction efforts. Additionally, the occupying army’s drones have targeted construction vehicles, water supply lines, and solar energy facilities in significant villages such as Tyre Harfa and Aita Shaab.Since the ceasefire was implemented on November 27 2024 the number of Lebanese martyrs has reached approximately 340 with nearly 1000 others injured. The Israeli army continues to occupy five strategic points in border areas that were scheduled to be completely vacated by the end of 2025. All these acts of occupation and aggression occur with the green light from the United States and under the watchful eye of the Mechanism Committee which was supposed to guarantee the implementation of this agreement and Resolution 1701.
