According to reports, Hussein Jashi, a senior member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, addressed recent developments in Lebanon, stating that Washington is exerting pressure on the country to assist the Israeli regime in achieving objectives it could not fulfill during the war.
This Hezbollah representative stressed that there will be no hesitation in resisting American-Israeli projects. He noted that there is significant pressure from the Americans on the Lebanese government to force submission to these foreign ambitions, all while Washington claims to be a mediator and negotiator.Jashi pointed out that these American pressures are clearly aimed at aiding Israel in accomplishing goals it failed to achieve during the conflict. He dismissed claims that resistance is futile, labeling such assertions as deceitful. He emphasized that without resistance, Lebanon would still be under occupation, and Israeli settlements would have taken root in Lebanese territory, leaving no space for Lebanese officials to gather and make unjust decisions against the resistance and its people.
He acknowledged that resistance cannot completely prevent the enemy’s atrocities and destruction during conflicts and aggressions against Lebanon. However, he affirmed that the Lebanese resistance possesses the will and determination necessary to confront the enemy and thwart its ambitions.Jashi remarked that some believe the solution lies in disarming the resistance suggesting that once the resistance’s weapons are surrendered Israeli attacks will cease and southern Lebanon will be secure. He challenged this notion stating that the area south of the Litani River is currently under the full control of the Lebanese Army with no weapons present except those of the state and UN forces. He questioned why enemy aggressions continue despite this.
Given the current circumstances Jashi committed to utilizing all available resources of the Lebanese people alongside the government and security institutions to confront the ambitions of the Israeli enemy over Lebanon’s lands waters and resources. He vowed that there would be no hesitation in opposing this nefarious American-Israeli project aimed at subjugating Lebanon and plundering its resources.
