According to reports, Hazem Qassem, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), vehemently criticized the Israeli regime’s prohibition on the entry of the Holy Quran into Gaza on Saturday night. He described this act as an extension of the ongoing religious and cultural war against the Palestinian people.

Qassem stated, ‘The occupying regime that has destroyed mosques in Gaza, burned Qurans, and obliterated libraries now even prevents the Quran from reaching the hands of the people in Gaza. What kind of beings are they that obstruct the words of God from reaching the faithful?’The Hamas spokesperson also expressed concern over the silence and inaction of the Islamic world in response to the comprehensive siege of Gaza. He emphasized ‘What kind of impotence has befallen this great nation such that it cannot even provide the most basic necessities including food medicine and now copies of the Quran for the oppressed people of Gaza?’
