Weather Update: Snow and Rain Affect Traffic in Ten Provinces

As of 7 AM today March 6 2025 significant snowfall and rainfall have been reported across various routes in ten provinces including Qazvin Alborz Tehran Mazandaran Lorestan Markazi Isfahan Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Golestan and North Khorasan. This weather has led to challenging driving conditions in these areas.

Traffic congestion has been noted on several key highways leading to the capital. Specifically the Qazvin–Karaj Freeway between Shahid Kalantari Terminal and Ferdows Bridge the Karaj–Tehran Freeway from Ferdows Bridge to Kolak Bridge and the Garmdareh area as well as the Saveh–Tehran Freeway around Nasim City and Ahmadabad Mostofi are experiencing moderate traffic.

Additionally the routes Pounel–Khalkhal Hashtgerd–Taleqan and Pataweh–Dehdasht are currently closed until further notice due to adverse weather conditions.
