Iranian Army Chief Addresses Strategic Erosion by Adversaries
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, Major General Amir Hatami, has articulated that the enemy’s actions are part of a strategy labeled ‘strategic erosion.’ This approach aims to gradually weaken the Islamic system and exhaust the populace through persistent efforts.
In light of current circumstances and the significant transformations occurring, he emphasized that the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army is undeniably critical. He recalled that in the previous month, adversaries made several serious attempts to inflict harm upon the great nation of Iran and its revered Islamic Republic, yet each time they faced failure. This recurring defeat amplifies the responsibility of the Army today.
Addressing the adversaries’ claims of invincibility, he remarked that such assertions are both false and futile. The same adversaries who waged wars for two decades in Vietnam and Afghanistan ultimately retreated in disgrace, experiencing similar outcomes in Iraq and other regions. They may enter with bravado and intimidation, but they invariably exit in humiliation. Thus, the defeat of the enemy is inevitable; however, achieving this requires a clear understanding of the current global landscape alongside the steadfastness and resilience of the Iranian people.Today’s warfare is significantly more intricate and challenging than in the past. We are confronted with a hybrid war that spans political economic social military psychological and cognitive domains. This multifaceted conflict not only impacts us but also places our families and children in its crosshairs.
