Concerns Rise Over Iran’s Missile Capabilities Amid Tensions with Israel
A recent analysis by an Israeli expert highlights the increasing anxiety within Israel regarding Iran’s missile capabilities, particularly in light of the potential for renewed conflict between the two nations. The expert recalls the significant missile strikes executed by Iran during the twelve-day war, underscoring the inadequacy of Israel’s defense systems against such threats.
Yossi Yehoshua, a journalist with I24 News and Yedioth Ahronoth, expressed serious concerns on social media about the advancements in Iran’s missile production. He emphasized that from Israel’s perspective, the most pressing issue is the Iranian missiles, which are being produced at an accelerated rate.
Yehoshua noted that current assessments suggest Iran could possess as many as five thousand lethal ballistic missiles within the next two years. Reflecting on the previous twelve-day conflict, he pointed out that even if Israeli defense systems successfully intercept 86% of incoming missiles, the remaining 14% could inflict extensive and severe damage.
