Daniel Citrinovich a senior researcher specializing in Iranian affairs and the resistance axis at the Israeli National Security Studies Institute stated ‘The Iranian assessment is that Trump is under pressure due to a lack of support within the United States and even if a war were to commence it would likely be relatively short-lived. The Iranians particularly trust in their ability to inflict damage on the U.S. military.’
