Counter-Terrorism Operation in Eastern Region Results in Arrests and Fatalities

In a significant counter-terrorism operation in the southeastern border region, eight members of a terrorist network linked to extremist groups and foreign intelligence services were apprehended. This coordinated effort involved the forces of the Imam Zaman Unknown Soldiers, the Quds Headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the Law Enforcement Force, leading to the elimination of three terrorists.

The operation uncovered substantial quantities of military-grade weaponry from the terrorists’ hideouts, including RPG-7s, American-made M4 rifles equipped with night vision scopes, several AK-47s with grenade launchers, and handguns. All individuals killed or detained were foreign operatives hired by the aforementioned terrorist group.

During preliminary interrogations, the captured suspects explicitly confessed to their involvement in operational activities targeting security personnel at a checkpoint in the Faharj region of Kerman, which resulted in the martyrdom of three law enforcement officers and one civilian.
