According to reports from the News Agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, General Joseph Aoun, President of Lebanon, condemned the recent wave of aggressive attacks by Israel on Lebanese territory, specifically targeting Sidon and the Beqaa Valley settlements.
He stated that these assaults represent a blatant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and disregard for international obligations.Aoun warned that the continued aggression from Israel undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at establishing stability. He emphasized that such actions reflect a blatant disregard for the will of the international community and United Nations resolutions, particularly Resolution 1701.
The Lebanese President called on nations committed to regional stability to assume their responsibilities in halting Israel’s incursions.Israeli fighter jets bombarded several areas in the Beqaa region of eastern Lebanon multiple times on Friday night. The most affected areas included the surroundings of the town of Riyak, near the town of Qasr Naba, a building near the town of Tamnin, and the Ash’ara region in the Nabi Sheet heights.
The Public Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Center in Lebanon recently reported that the Israeli attacks on several towns in the Beqaa region resulted in the deaths of 10 civilians and injuries to 24 others, including three children.Since the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon was established Israel has violated it thousands of times carrying out military incursions into southern Lebanon. These actions have led to numerous casualties among Lebanese citizens yet the ceasefire monitoring committee has taken no action to stop these attacks.
