Legal Action Required Against Desecration of the Iranian Flag

The public prosecutor must address the alarming incidents of flag burning and disrespect towards the Iranian flag as emphasized by a member of the Legal and Judicial Commission of the Parliament Mr. Naghdali.

He stated that the sacred flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran serves as a fundamental symbol of the Islamic system. Given the presence of the revered name of God on the flag any act of burning or insulting it constitutes an affront to religious sanctities and is a clear violation of Article 513 of the Islamic Penal Code.

It is crucial to prevent individuals who are either oblivious self-betraying or influenced by adversarial propaganda from setting fire to this emblem of national identity. The prosecutor is urged to pursue legal action against those responsible for such offenses ensuring they face prosecution and punishment.
