Israel’s Recent Diplomatic Move Challenges Somali Unity

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially announced the acceptance of Somalia Land’s first ambassador in Tel Aviv. This development has been interpreted by Mogadishu as a direct threat to its national sovereignty.

The ministry stated that Dr. Mohamed Haji who previously served as an advisor to the President of Somalia Land has played a significant role in establishing relations between Israel and the breakaway republic throughout 2025. Furthermore Israel is expected to appoint its own ambassador to Somalia Land in the near future.
