The website added that this decision includes the exchange of ambassadors between the two countries over a short period, marking a practical step towards fully restoring diplomatic relations between Cairo and Tehran. This move reflects a significant improvement in relations between the two nations.The i24NEWS channel also reported that the resumption of relations between Cairo and Tehran is a surprising development. Iran and Egypt have reached an agreement to exchange ambassadors and reopen their embassies in a historic move towards complete diplomatic normalization.
This shift follows meetings and negotiations between senior Iranian and Egyptian officials, including the visit of Iran’s President to Egypt in December 2024, signaling a warming of relations after years of limited contact.Israel Hayom newspaper noted that the relationship between Tehran and Cairo has entered an advanced stage.
