U.S. Embassy’s Role in Political Tensions in Iraq
Hamid Abdullaimi a member of the Anbar Alliance in Iraq has asserted that the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad is actively exerting pressure and engaging in political interference to obstruct the formation of a new Iraqi government. This involvement is seen as a strategic maneuver to create instability within the political landscape of Iraq.
The U.S. Embassy plays a pivotal role by leveraging political figures such as Mohammed Al-Halbousi the head of the Progress Alliance to incite chaos both politically and security-wise in Iraq. This interference aims to serve the interests of Washington and the Israeli regime raising concerns about the sovereignty of Iraqi politics.
Tom Barrack the U.S. envoy to Iraq has met with Al-Halbousi and is scheduled to convene with other politicians to discuss further steps that may exacerbate tensions among Iraq’s political parties. The actions of Al-Halbousi bolstered by U.S. support are perceived as aligned with the broader agenda of the United States in the region.
