According to the International Defense Press Group, Ismail Baqai, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, vehemently condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, particularly in the Beqaa region. These attacks have led to the deaths and injuries of civilians and caused extensive damage to Lebanon’s infrastructure.
Baqai urged the United Nations Security Council to take urgent action to fulfill its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security.Highlighting the persistent violations of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity the spokesperson labeled the ongoing silence and inaction of the UN Security Council regarding the lawlessness and crimes committed by the Israeli regime as catastrophic. He emphasized the direct responsibility of the United States and France as guarantors of the ceasefire in perpetuating this situation.
Israeli fighter jets carried out extensive attacks on eastern Lebanon last night targeting areas such as Harabta Shamsatar Badnayel and Qasr Naba in the Beqaa province. The airstrikes also struck the hills surrounding the Hermel region in eastern Lebanon.
