Jordan’s Parliament Votes to Remove ‘Israel’ from Official Records

The Jordanian House of Representatives has unanimously approved a proposal to eliminate the term ‘Israel’ from its official correspondence. This significant decision championed by representative Haile Ayash reflects a strong stance among Jordanian lawmakers against the current political climate.

During the session there was a pronounced emphasis on the necessity of taking a firm position against remarks made by the U.S. ambassador in Tel Aviv. Mazen Al-Qadi the Speaker of the House characterized these statements as a threat to both peace and the sovereignty of Jordan.
