According to reports from Mehr News Agency, around 70 Palestinian women are currently imprisoned in Damon, among whom 24 mothers are denied visits with their children. The detainees include journalists, engineers, lawyers, and several students, with 13 of them being university attendees.<\/p>\n
Most of these women have been arrested on charges of ‘incitement to violence.’ Under the ongoing state of emergency, they face restrictions on family visits and limited access to legal counsel. Furthermore, during Ramadan, the schedule for prayer times is not provided to the imprisoned women, or incorrect times are announced for breaking their fast.Sources indicate that restrictions are also imposed on performing prayers and reading the Quran with times frequently announced incorrectly. Reports reveal that the meals provided are cold and insufficient consisting of thin soup undercooked rice one egg per day six pieces of bread and spoiled vegetables. Additionally the quality of drinking water is poor and the distribution of fruits is prohibited. It has been reported that if the detainees protest against the spoiled food they are deprived of receiving that meal altogether.<\/p>\n
