According to Mehr News Agency, Masoud Medicalian emphasized the unique and significant position of Lebanon in Iran’s foreign policy during the official ceremony welcoming Ahmad Suidan, the new Lebanese ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday, March 5, 2025.<\/p>\n
He noted the profound emotional and historical ties between the two nations, asserting that the relationship between Iran and Lebanon transcends mere political interactions. He identified the frequent assaults and inhumane, expansionist actions of the Israeli regime as the main challenge and source of instability and insecurity in Lebanon and the region. He stressed that attacks on defenseless citizens, the assassination of influential figures, and the aggressive policies of this regime threaten regional security and stability. Iran’s stance regarding these actions is clear, firm, and based on support for the rights of regional nations.Medicalian reiterated Iran’s readiness to expand cooperation and interaction with all Arab and Islamic countries, including Lebanon, emphasizing that strengthening ties with Lebanon is a priority for Iran. He indicated that the role of the new ambassador will be crucial in solidifying and deepening these relations.<\/p>\n
During the ceremony, Ahmad Suidan expressed his pleasure in meeting with the Iranian President and wished victory and dignity for the Iranian government and people in facing upcoming challenges.
