I am delighted that despite the recent turmoil, the university continues to welcome you in person as per the established schedule. The university’s essence is defined by the presence of faculty members, students, and researchers, and the nation’s development is meaningless without the university.”

Tajrishi proudly announced that classes have commenced with a level of organization exceeding standard expectations, thanking all colleagues involved for their commitment. He emphasized that this is a significant demand from both the academic community and national officials.

As anticipated, gatherings began on Saturday, leading to confrontations and violence within the university’s secure environment. University administrators, faculty members, dedicated security staff, and cultural activists worked diligently to maintain peace and prevent escalating violence during these gatherings. He expressed regret over the provocative behavior exhibited by some individuals, which resulted in verbal and physical violence, undermining the university’s dignity and legal standards. Such actions have raised concerns within the academic community and among students’ families, warranting serious attention.

Despite the overall calming atmosphere of the gatherings and a shift toward rational discussions, there were still unacceptable incidents involving certain individuals, raising fears of serious repercussions. Tajrishi stressed that the university must remain a safe space for academic pursuits, and any threat to its security or emergence of violent and radical behaviors is a red line for all.

Throughout this period, the government and security agencies have patiently trusted the university’s management and the prevailing academic rationality. We have exerted every effort to maintain this safe environment, yet some individuals show no restraint in their conduct, damaging the university’s reputation and resorting to abusive language and physical harm against fellow students, faculty members, and university staff. The President bears the responsibility for safeguarding the university’s standing and security ensuring that core academic activities remain uninterrupted and protecting both academic and non-academic staff. Therefore he calls upon all of you precious children of Iran and valuable assets of this land to refrain from participating in unlawful gatherings and to concentrate on your academic paths assisting university management in controlling violent and unbecoming behaviors.

In closing he extends heartfelt apologies to the people of Iran and the families of martyrs for the inappropriate actions that have occurred within the university environment.

The President of Sharif University urges students to support university management by refraining from participating in unlawful gatherings.

[64

post-24260","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-palestine
["GET
