According to international news agency Tasnim, the Lebanese Army issued a statement today confirming that its forces were targeted by Israeli military fire while setting up a surveillance post in the ‘Sarda’ area of southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n
The Lebanese Army stated that they were in the process of constructing a new outpost in the region when the Israeli gunfire commenced. The statement emphasized that the Lebanese Army has instructed its troops to remain in the area and respond to the Israeli military’s attacks.In line with this, the Al-Mayadeen news network reported renewed violations of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon today, noting that Israeli soldiers opened fire from a newly established site in ‘Tal al-Hamamess’ towards ‘Khayam’.<\/p>\n
The report indicated that the occupiers also directed fire towards ‘Wadi al-Asafir’ in southern Khayam and the ‘Sarda’ region in southern Lebanon. These incidents coincided with the deployment of the Lebanese Army at three new positions in the area.Following the escalation of brutal Israeli aggressions in Lebanese territory which resulted in the martyrdom of over ten individuals and injuries to dozens more in the south and east of the country last Friday night Mahmoud Qamati Deputy Chairman of Hezbollah’s Political Council stated that there is no option but resistance to defend Lebanon.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that the ceasefire agreement has been in place for a year but remains unimplemented.
