This fog, driven by strong winds from the deserts of North Africa, spread across the entire Eastern Mediterranean and reached as far as Iraq.It was anticipated that the fog would gradually dissipate starting around noon. However after a temporary decrease in pollutant concentrations at monitoring stations in the central region levels began to rise again. In Tel Aviv pollution levels nearly doubled since measurements taken at 11:40 AM with similar conditions reported in the coastal plain Jerusalem and other areas of the region.

Due to the dense dust cloud sunlight penetration was significantly reduced causing temperatures in the central part of the country to barely rise. Despite being situated within a cold air front temperatures remained comparable to those recorded overnight.

Hebrew media outlets have admitted that Tel Aviv has become the most polluted spot on the planet.

[64

post-21363","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-palestine
["GET
