According to the Israeli newspaper ‘Israel Hayom,’ as tensions with Iran escalate, several hospitals in northern and central occupied territories have been placed on high alert. The Israeli Ministry of Health has initiated the construction of a new underground hospital in Tel Aviv, reflecting a growing fear of the consequences of any potential confrontation with Iran and the haunting memories of the recent conflict.Reports indicate that multiple hospitals are now fully prepared for emergencies. For instance, Rambam Hospital in Haifa has closed its underground parking to convert it into a field hospital. Similarly, Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem and Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv have received similar alerts, with Ichilov’s management canceling medical staff leave to ensure readiness. In addition staff at Nahariya Hospital have been instructed to prepare for immediate transition to emergency status. These actions reveal the level of confusion within the Israeli occupying forces as they increasingly recognize that any escalation in military tensions and warfare will directly impact the home front. Despite efforts by Tel Aviv leaders to project confidence and military superiority the reality of the situation is becoming increasingly apparent.
