Casualty Figures in the Gaza Conflict Rise to Over 72,000

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that the number of fatalities from the ongoing conflict in the region has reached 72072 since October 7 2023. This alarming statistic highlights the severe impact of the hostilities on the local population.

Additionally the total number of injured individuals has surged to 171741. In the past 24 hours alone the remains of two martyrs and three injured persons were transferred to hospitals in Gaza underscoring the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Reports indicate that many victims remain trapped beneath rubble or stranded in the streets with rescue teams unable to reach them due to the challenging conditions. The Ministry of Health in Gaza further noted that since the ceasefire was established on October 11 the total count of martyrs has increased by 614 and the number of injured has risen by 1643.

During this period the bodies of 726 individuals have been recovered from the debris illustrating the devastating toll the conflict continues to take on the region.
