In an exclusive interview with Afghan Voice News Agency, Fazl al-Hadi Wazin, a university professor and president of the Movement for Understanding and Reforms in Afghanistan, cautioned against the expansionist ambitions of the U.S. and the Israeli regime in the region. He asserted that the current threats against Iran are not merely isolated incidents but part of a broader scheme to dominate the entire Middle East and establish a Greater Israel.
Wazin emphasized that the U.S. and Israel’s intentions extend beyond Iran, posing potential risks to all countries in the region. He highlighted the powerful Zionist lobbies in the U.S., which aim to draw America into a conflict with Iran. The primary goal of this conflict, he noted, is regime change and the control of Iran, with the ultimate aim of establishing a puppet government that would serve Israeli interests across the vast geography of the region. He pointed out that the threats should be viewed regionally, from Iran to Islam Qala. With rising tensions between Iran and the U.S. and an increasing likelihood of full-scale military confrontation—especially following the deployment of U.S. aircraft carriers and extensive military equipment in the area—Wazin remarked that Israel seeks to involve the U.S. in this war under various pretexts, such as Iran’s nuclear program.
Wazin reiterated that Iran does not seek war and is striving to resolve issues through diplomatic means. However, he noted that the bullying tactics of the U.S. and Israel persist, as they continue to speak to Iran in a threatening and intimidating manner, disregarding international laws and ethics. He stressed that the objectives of the U.S. and Israel go beyond Iran, aiming for control over the entire Middle East. He referenced recent statements by the U.S. ambassador to Israel, who claimed that, according to the Torah, Israel has the right to dominate the entire Middle East.
Wazin cautioned that these threats should not be taken lightly and must be viewed from a broader regional perspective. He articulated the deep and extensive ties between the U.S. and Israel, asserting that they are two sides of the same coin, with Israel acting as America’s enforcer in the region. He also highlighted the extensive informational dominance that Zionists hold in the U.S. and globally. The exposure of the Jeffrey Epstein case, he noted, demonstrated the vast control that Zionism wields, enabling it to drag the U.S. into any conflict and potentially create global catastrophes.
Wazin continued to warn that the threats posed by the U.S. and Israel are not limited to Iran but represent a danger to all countries in the region. Should a war with Iran commence, it would destabilize the security of all neighboring nations. He urged Islamic countries to take preventive measures against this looming catastrophe, warning that Israel could eventually reach the gates of Islam Qala (the Iran-Afghanistan border). He expressed concern over the insatiable greed of global imperialism, indicating that the strategy of the U.S. and Israel involves subjugation, fragmentation, collapse, and the establishment of a puppet regime in Iran to exert control over the entire region.
Wazin called on the people and government of Afghanistan to be wary of Israel’s growing presence in the region. He emphasized that it should be clear to the Afghan populace what catastrophic implications would arise if Israel were to border Afghanistan at Islam Qala.Addressing the psychological warfare against Iran, Wazin stated that the U.S. and Israel aim to spread insecurity within Iran. However, he cautioned against underestimating Iran, asserting that it would stand firm against both propaganda wars and potential military conflicts in the future.
He acknowledged that while Russia and China may not directly support Iran in an impending conflict, Iran possesses numerous options to defend itself.Wazin asserted that any attack on Iran would not be without risks for the U.S., as all American bases and aircraft carriers in the region, as well as the heart of Israel, are within Iran’s reach. He warned that if Iran’s existence were threatened, it would retaliate without hesitation, igniting a prolonged and destructive war that could ensnare the U.S. in a quagmire.Analyzing U.S. strategies, Wazin noted that America does not wish to endanger its interests through a ground invasion of Iran. Instead, it seeks to establish a government in Iran that operates under Israeli control, signifying complete U.S. dominance in the region. He cautioned that if Iran’s political landscape were to change, it would inevitably alter the entire map of the region, leaving no country safe from U.S. influence.Wazin urged for regional unity, emphasizing the need for all countries to collaborate to prevent instability in Iran. He asserted that if it is Iran’s turn today, it will undoubtedly be the turn of other regional nations tomorrow, with no country immune from Israeli and U.S. aggression.
He expressed hope that, in the near future, Islamic countries would foster unity and solidarity, leading to the establishment of security pacts.Referencing the defense pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, he anticipated that such coordination would gradually expand to create an impenetrable barrier against the expansionist ambitions of the U.S. and Israel. While there may be subtle movements toward the cohesion of Islamic countries, he lamented that these efforts remain largely speculative and not sufficiently serious.Wazin emphasized that four key Islamic nations—Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan—could play a pivotal role in fostering unity among Islamic countries, laying the groundwork for regional protection. He also noted that Afghanistan must align itself with these countries in light of shared threats. In closing Wazin stressed the importance of the Afghan people’s solidarity with Iran asserting that Afghanistan’s national interests dictate support for Iran under any circumstances. He expressed confidence that should war break out the Iranian people would resist and that this resistance must be supported.
He concluded that the outcome of resistance is victory over adversaries and the Afghan people should actively participate in this triumph as a Muslim neighbor. In the event of war Afghanistan must prepare for two critical scenarios: first complete support for Iran and second readiness for the potential influx of Afghan and Iranian refugees along with economic challenges related to Iran.
