Al-Alam – Palestine: A Palestinian fasting individual shared with our reporter the significance of this gathering, stating, “We live in this area, and despite the wounds, tragedies, and pain we have endured, we celebrate Ramadan and the joy of communal iftar.”

A Palestinian woman added, “By participating in this iftar, the people demonstrated their unity in joy. We are fighting against our challenges and breaking the barriers of fear.”

She continued “Just yesterday this area was occupied by Jewish forces yet today we are here to revive the spirit of Ramadan alongside our community.”
