In a statement on Saturday, Mahmoud Qamati, the Deputy Head of Hezbollah’s Political Council, emphasized that the events in the Bekaa Valley represent a new level of aggression, surpassing all previous incidents. He asserted, ‘We have no choice but to resist.’
Hezbollah has officially announced that eight of its members and commanders were martyred due to the surprise attack by the Israeli regime in the Bekaa region.Israeli fighter jets bombarded several areas in the eastern Bekaa region on Friday night targeting locations around the town of Riyak near Qasr Naba a building near Tamnin and the Shaara region in the Nabi Sheet heights.
Since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon the Israeli military has repeatedly violated it thousands of times conducting military incursions into southern Lebanon resulting in hundreds of civilian casualties. Meanwhile the committee overseeing the ceasefire implementation has taken no practical steps to halt these attacks.
