Israeli media outlets, including i24, reported that masked armed settlers launched an attack on Palestinians and civilians in the village of Qasra near Nablus on Friday.
According to i24, this incident resulted in the injury of two Israeli civilians, who were subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment.The Israeli military characterized this attack as a ‘dangerous incident,’ stating that security forces are actively searching for the suspects involved. Additionally, Israeli police have initiated an investigation into the event.
Previously, several Israeli soldiers had been killed or injured during assaults on villages and various areas in the West Bank, as a result of resistance from local Palestinian forces.The injuries sustained by Israeli soldiers and civilians in Nablus highlight that Palestinian resistance in the West Bank has not been extinguished. It continues to pose a threat to the security and military pressures exerted by the Israeli occupation, raising serious questions about the capacity of the Israeli regime to contain this resistance.Since the onset of the Israeli aggression against Gaza on October 7 2023 the Israeli military has intensified its operations in the West Bank.
