According to reports from Mehr News Agency via Ma’an, the Israeli cabinet has ramped up efforts to extend settlements near the Jordanian border, planning to construct a significant security base in the region with an investment exceeding 5 billion shekels.

Sources indicate that this initiative includes the establishment of a new city named Tamara, located north of Jericho, designed to accommodate 4,000 housing units along with military training centers and weapon usage facilities for Israelis. The Israeli government aims to increase the number of Israeli settlers near the Jordan border from 42000 to 100000 over the next decade. This strategic move is reportedly intended to counteract anti-Israeli operations originating from the Jordanian border such as the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
